A favorite magazine arrived in the mail a few days ago. I took a few minutes to set outside on the deck, on a warm summer evening to read it. We also had a beautiful sunset that evening. Then something distracted me and I put the magazine down and left it. In the wee hours of the morning we had a thunderstorm and my magazine was a wet mess when Mike found it.
I said, “Well, just throw it away. It’s ruined now.”
He said, “I think I can dry it out.”
I didn’t hold much hope. He carefully opened up the middle of the magazine and hung it on a metal hanger from our hearth. The pages dried individually, not all stuck together. I hope I don’t leave something important like a book or magazine out in the rain again, but his solution worked great!
